After 4 months wait, the Arita 400th years anniversary special edition pens are finally available locally in Singapore.

Sailor launched 8 designs to commemorate their 400th year anniversary. Koransha and Gen'enmon Kiln each has 4 designs under them.

Montblanc Writer Edition 2013 Honoré de Balzac

Mont Blanc Writers Edition pay tribute to French literary artist Honoré de Balzac (1799 – 1850).

It was launched in August 2013 and the writing instruments are now available locally.

Honoré de Balzac is a well known  novelist and playwright who delivered an opus of nearly 100 novels and plays collectively known as La Comédie Humaine.

Lamy Safari China Edition

Our foreign friend came to Singapore to celebrate his wife birthday over the weekend. He also bring me a bring Lamy Safari China Edition for me.

I fallen in love with this color combined when I saw the pictures on KMPN blog. Both my favor colors are on the same pen. A dream Lamy Safari for me.

The pen cap is finished with yellow cross top.

Sailor Yosegi Zaiku Special Edition Fountain Pen

Yosegi Zaiku (寄木細工) is an unique traditional wood working technique which originated at the end of the Edo era (1603-1868).

The mosaic work is made by making best use of natural fine grains and textures of wood. Timbers of different colors are cut into oblong rods of desired sections.

Mont Blanc Special Edition Johannes Brahms

Johannes Brahms (7 May 1833 – 3 April 1897) was one of the leading musicians of the Romantic period.

Born in Hamburg Germany, Brahms was a composer and pianist who spent much of his professional life in Vienna, Austria, where he was a leader of the muscial scene and a influence figure.

Brahms's popularity and influence were considerable, and is sometimes grouped with Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven as one of the Three Bs.

Brahms wrote a number of major works for orchestra,but it was the premiere of A German Requiem, his largest choral work, in Bremen, in 1868, that confirmed Brahms's European reputation that led many to accept of his conquered Beethoven and the symphony.

Pilot 90th Anniversary Limited Edition Toki

It has been four years since Pilot Corporation Japan launched its 90th anniversary special edition fountain pen.

For their 90th Anniversary Limited Edition fountain pen, it uses Toki as the main theme. The Toki (Japanese Crested Ibis) was once a common bird in Japan. One can see the beautiful vermilion skin Toki bird flying over Japan blue sky.

Pelikan Souverän Black-Blue-Silver

After the tremendous success of the Souverän silver trim in M405 and M805, Pelikan recently launched 3 models using the popular size 605 as a special edition. This is the second model of the three pens. The first was the Pelikan Souverän M600 Tortoise Shell-White.

Rumours, Rumours Lamy Nexx Yellow

Lamy launched a yellow color this year as a special edition or limited production run. While the color and pen itself look ordinary, it is still a pen that we are unlikely to be able buy it locally in Singapore.

Rummour has it that Lamy Singapore has no plan to bring in this pen for the Singapore market.

Laban Dragon 2012 Edition

The Laban Dragon 2012 Edition is the new addition to their thematical edition series. It is so new that you cannot find it on Laban own web site.

There are two dragons on this pen. One on the cap, another on the pen barrel. Both dragon design are almost similiar. Both dragons crueled around the pen and both faced toward the left. In term of design, this is rather disapponting.

Sailor Kuji Kohaku Amber 琥珀万年筆

Sailor Company has been following the watch industry very closely. Like the watch manufacturers, who has been launching watches with rare or specially engineered materials, Sailor Company Japan has been doing similiar to the pens.

In the past, they launched Susutake, cedar woods, mulberry wood, brier wood and others. They also work with other Japan companies like Yonex for the carbon fiber fountain pen.

Rumours, Rumours Pelikam M320 Pearl Special Edition

First Pelikan used it M1000 to launched the biggest demostrator as a special edition. On it end other of Pelikan Souveran product range, it has the M300. The smallest fountain pen, whcih has a length of just 11cm when closed.

For the coming December, Pelikan will get to buy him/herself a M320 Pearl Special Edition.

Unlike the pervious Special Edition, Pelikan try to upgrade it Special Edition image with a new packing.

Mont Blanc Tribute to the Mont Blanc Special Edition

Mont Blanc introduced a snowy white collection to pay tribute to Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe. It highest peaking is 4,810 metres, and straddling the French and Italian border.

Mont Blanc adopted the six glaciers and the peak of the iconic mountain as the brand’s emblem.

Pelikan Special Edition Souveran M600 Green O' Green

Pelikan released a M800 Special Edition Blue-O-Blue last year. One year later, they released a M600 Special Edition Green-O-Green.

The O in both Special Edition mean the same thing. The o' is short for 'Over', which represent the material design looks. It look like several broad strokes of green (not blue) in different shades are put one over another.

Fisher AG7 Space Pen Special Edition

Fisher launched it Fisher AG7 special edition to celebrate 40th Year Moon Landing. The move of the pen was engraved with Apollo 11 astronauts holding a America flag on the moon.

Rumours, Rumours Sailor Kohaku Fountain Pen

Sailor Co. Japan seems to be taking the cue from the watch industry, which the manufacturers are working on different and difficult materials.

Sailor Co. collaborated wit Kuji Kojaku Co. Ltd to create this special edition Kohaku fountain pen, made from the natural top quality amber from the Kuji area of Iwate Prefecture, Japan's largest source of quality amber.

The pen barrel and cap are crafted using special developed sintered and pressing technique applu brown/red colored amber.

Sailor Sakura Special Edition

This Sailor Sakura is a not for sales item that was given to Japanese "Prisoners of War" in Soviet Union during the WWII.

This group Japanese did not consider themselves as "Prisoners of War" because they voluntarily laid down their arms after the official capitulation of Japan; after the end of the military conflict. They refer themselves as "internees".
