Bortoletti Inkwell Cal40

I was charmed by Bortoletti inkwell back in 2005 when I was travelling in Sydney. Just over the weekend, I picked up a few inkwells at our friendly local fine writing instrument retailer Fook Hing Trading.

These inkwell is a fine decoration on my writing desk, and  good talking pieces among my guests.

Pelikan Edelstein Ink Amber "Ink of the Year 2013"

Pelikan launched a new amber Edelstein Ink this year. They labelled it as "Ink of the Year 2013".

Caran d'Ache Chromatics Ink

While I find the Caran d'Ache ink color is nice, I never like their ink bottle as they are not practical. Caran d'Ache announced their new Chromatic INKredible colors some few months back, but it was only available very recent.

Last year (2011), J Herbin commemorate the last queen of France, Marie-Antoinette, by launching perfume bottle look alike, which they called is "Chest" bottle filled with Herbin Rose Cyclamen ink.

We love the idea of a clean filling system, and Stiupla created just the cool "gadget" for us, the fountain pen users.

Mont Blanc Writer Edition Carlo Collidi Ink

Beside the usual Montblanc Limited Writers Edition 2011 pens, this year Mont Blanc honours the great Italian writers Carlo Collidi with an additional limited production ink.

Unlike the special edition Mahatma Gandi, which uses the standard Mont Blanc ink bottle, this writer series limited production ink comes with it special designed bottle.

For those orange color ink lover out there who didn't manage to get a bottle of the orange ink launched as the Mahatma Gandhi Special Edition ink, Mont Blanc launched the same color this year (2011) as a Ink of Joy Special Edition.

Mont Blanc has not been successful with their special edition ink locally based on the remind of the past special edition available locally.

Mont Blanc is trying out their luck again with their newly launch Special Edition ink. They label them as ink of Love, Friendship and Joy.

Pelikan Edelstein

Here is a geme stone that an average person can afford, but not everybody will find it useful. The Pelikan Edelstein, a German word which mean gem stone.

Pelikan a well known brands for it ecomnoical value, had released a range of expansive inks to compete in the upper range of the ink market.
This new range of ink is a total redesign from it current range of ink products to justify for the five times more expansive.

DO IT RIGHT! ... Yellow Ribbon

The Yellow Ribbon symbol has various meaninging. They are mostly associated with those waiting for the return of a loved ones or of miltary troops who are temporaily unable to come home.

In the '80, Philippines opposition leader used the symbol, and the most remember event was the 1986 People Power Revolution led by Nonoy and Cory Aquino. They led a series of non-violent and prayful mass street demostrations, which toppled the authoritian regime chair by a strongman Fredinard Marcos. Cory Aquino became the 11th President of the Philippines and the first woman to hold that office.
