Johannes Brahms (7 May 1833 – 3 April 1897) was one of the leading musicians of the Romantic period.

Born in Hamburg Germany, Brahms was a composer and pianist who spent much of his professional life in Vienna, Austria, where he was a leader of the muscial scene and a influence figure.

Brahms's popularity and influence were considerable, and is sometimes grouped with Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven as one of the Three Bs.

Brahms wrote a number of major works for orchestra,but it was the premiere of A German Requiem, his largest choral work, in Bremen, in 1868, that confirmed Brahms's European reputation that led many to accept of his conquered Beethoven and the symphony.

This year (2012), Mont Blanc pay tribute to this popular and important German composer and pianist Johannes Brahms with thier 2012 Donation Pen Johannes Brahms Special Edition.

The barrel and cap is crafted from black precious resin. The clip take the form of a tuning fork which is a simple yet useful instrument that help the musician to get the perfect tone of the musicial note.

Just below the cap top, there are is a set of five horizontal lines and four spaces know as music stave, that each represent a different musical pitch.
The delicate engravings of a signature from Johannes Brahms is on the cap ring.
