Unity ...

"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also the interest of others." Phil 2:4.
A July 3 2010 article in The Star mentioned that an online analyst calculated that in 11 years’ time – by 2021 – half the population in Singapore will be foreigners.

Citizenship was given to some 20,000 foreigners a year in the past two years, half the number of babies born here.

We don't have to wait till 11 years time to feel the impact. The National Day Rally 2010 had given us a brief view of the impact.
Singapore today remind me of Philippi, which was a cosmoplitican city, with people from variety of backgounds and work of life. The Bible Act 16 give us some indication of the diverse makeup of the church.

With so many different backgrounds among the local population, unity will be difficult to maintain. Although there is no clear sign or evidence of division now, a nation unity had to be safe guarded.
"Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh." Phil 3:2
Paul, the apostle, encourage us to guard against any selfish, prejudice or jealosy that might lead to dissension.

We feel that showing genuine interest in others is the first positive step forward in maintaining unity among ...

We hope that we will not trade GDP growth for unity ...
