Pelikan will be releasing the M205 DUO highlighter/fountain pen coming August 2010. Together with the pen, Pelikan will also be releasing a highlighter lnk. This is a one time special production run.

It is target to be available locally on August 15, 2010.

Andy Warhol

A self-portrait by the late 'pope of pop' Andy Warhol sold for a record S$44million (USD32.5 million) at Sothey's in New York on May 12 2010. It reminded me of a S.T. Dupont that was released in 2004 paying tribute to the "Price of Pop Art".

I almost forget about the Sailor Creatures of the Deep series which I started last year. Let finished this series before starting the Sailor 2010 88 pieces.

The last posted was on the Sailor maki-e Sunfish back in January 2010. This is the 7/10 pen of the Sailor Creatures of the Deep fountain pens collection. Previously, we wrote about clown fish, Hammerhead Shark, Whales, Octopus, Pengiun and Sunfish.

Millennia later, we learned how to destroy and shape with fire. Mankind made land usable through slash and burn agriculture. Ashes remained and new leife created.

Namiki Pavilion

The Chinese Pavilin has a long history dated back to Zhou Dynasty (1046 - 256 BC). It is bascially a covered structure without surrounding walls. In the early days, it was used as watch towers and later become a place for resting and enjoying the scenery and finally becoming part of the scenery itself.

Thomas and Alexandra Batsch founded ONLINE-Pen in 1991 to manufacture functional and design oriented writing instruments for students, the young and the young at heart customers.

The company currently employed more than 100 people at its modern company buildings in Neumarkt, Germany.

Fook Hing Trading, a 50 years old company, continue to surprise their customer with new quality products. The ONLINE-Pens are now available locally at their good shop.

Marchesi Antinori Srl is an Italian wine company that trace its history back to 1385. They are one of the biggest wine companies in Italy

While OMAS (Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni) doesn't have as long a history as compare to Maschesi Antinori. It is created many excellent and creative pens since it was founded in 1930.

Omas confirms its own passion for the world of wine with a new Limited Edition, dedicated to the prestigious Italian wine tradition, which pays homage to Marchesi Antinori six hundred - long history. This is the 3rd wine pens from Omas.

Why Marchesi Antinori Srl?

In 1978 Solaia was first produced almost accidentally, thanks to Marchese Piero’s intuition. It was the first Italian wine elected “Wine of the Year” in 2000 by Wine Spectator and continues to increase and score the worldwide markets.

This prestigious Solaia Limited Editoin is make from the Oak Wood of the “Marchesi Antinori” barriques, where the precious wine has aged for years, and produced in the Tignanello Estate in Tuscany.

Elegant engravings recall the world of this noble wine: the family coat of arms and the vine plant dominate the cap surface, the rhombs which we find in the Marchesi Antinori shield, decorate the Limited Edition knob. The shape of the barrel douelle is skilfully recalled in the particular and rounded clip.

The Numbered and Limited Edition in Silver recalls the first historical Solaia wine year: 1.978 pieces, 1.200 Piston Filling Fountain Pens and 778 Roller Balls.

Omas is adding two new wooden pens to their Arte Italiana. They are the Madagascar's Bois de Rose Noir and Brazil's Bois de Rose Rose. Bois de Rose simply mean wood that is red is one of the loved wood materials till date that have been in use in many wooden products.
