When Graf Von Faber Castell uses the platino wood on their Intuition range, we instantly fallen in love with it.
One of the design feature we love about the Faber Castell Intuition design is the section is hidden inside the barrel, making the pen look totally complete; there are no join, and no thread making the design look pure and elegance.
LOOK CLOSER on the barrel.
You will notice there is a gently sweeping concave contours of the grip. This is evidence not only of the most careful workmanship at the Graf Von Faber Castell workshop, but it also offer maximum comfort for writing experience.
The warmth of the exotic woods is further emphasis by the platinum-plated metal cap that completes the fountain pen.
The pen comes with the extra large 18K bicolor gold nib which is similar to those that is currently fixed on the Graf Von Pen of Year. It comes in the standard nib size.
The standard Intuition nib comes in the standard two tone nib.
Bigger nib mean bigger pen barrel. While the pen barrel is bigger, it is not uncomfortable to write with. Writer with smaller hand might want to try it out before buying it.
The one imperfection is the knob at the end of the pen. It is metal and platinum-plated. It will be perfect if it is make of the same material as the pen barrel, similar to what Omas did for the exotic wood pen.
The Graf Von Faber Castell Intuition Platino wood comes in two favour, the Pernambuco and Grenadilla wood.
The price of the Graf Von Faber Castell Intuition Platino wood pen is about double that of the standard precious resin barrel.
