Mont Blanc ... Procelain

Procelain somehow always make us relate to the properties of whiteness, strong and hardness, but yet indirectly give us the feel of the feminine, gentleness at it core.

Rumours, Rumours ... In Honours of Britains's Greatest Ruler

Montblanc Patron of Art 2010 Limited Edition: Queen Elizabeth I Fountain Pen

Queen Elizabeth I was one of few historical figures whose impact on history was so powerful that an entire era has been named after her – and she did it with a passion and charisma that still enthralls us today.

Montblanc pays tribute to this fascinating woman, queen and lover of culture with a stunning writing instrument – the Limited Edition Queen Elizabeth I.

The pattern on the cap and cone is inspired by ornaments from the book cover of "The Miroir or Glasse of the Synneful Soul". The cap is decorated wiht a rose, which symbolize the Tudor dynasty, and her motto "Video at Taceo" engraved on the cap ring, and a green cabochon perfecting set on the gold plated clip.

The fountain pen is make complete with a handcrafted 18k gold nib decorated with the royal crown.

Mont Blanc Singapore is holding a execlusive preview of this beautiful pen for their customer on March 24, 2010 at their Mandarin Gallery boutique #02-01.

Extra ... Good Or Bad?

Last week, we have a repeat telecast of 'Tiger Wood' extramarital affair starring Jack Neo, his wife Irene Kng, and model-actress Wendy Chong. Tiger and Jack extramarital affair reminded me of my conversation with Senior Lim, whom I met just before Chinese New Year at a local pen retailer.

The pen shown is not suitable for junior/young reader!

Chrysanthemum And Butterfly

A few of our fellow fountain pen users gather at the museum to have a few drinks, and one interesting topic came to light about the Japanese maki-e pens. The question was, "Why the drawing must always be birds and flowers?"

Two Faces

We introduced the Pelikan Hanging Gardon of Babylon back June 2009 using the basic pictures. After 8 months of waiting, our pen (our desired number) finally reached us today.  We almost forgotten that we had placed order for this pen.

You might be wondering why we titled this blog as two faces. The answer is in the pictures we took.
