STAEDTLER SG50 FLORA & FAUNA LIMITED EDITION

This year, our little red dot is 50 years old. A year which we have a nation wide celebration. There are many products launches this year to commemorate Singapore 50th anniversary of independence in 2015.

For me, Staedtler Initium leather fountain pen is one that I decided to add to my pen chest.

NAMIKI YUKARI CHINKIN FOUNTAIN PEN

The maki-e collectors and lovers are in for a treat. Namiki launched Yukari Chinkin fountain pens collection this month (November 2014).

All four design are the most popular among the maki-e collectors and lovers. The are the silver grass (SUSUKI), pine Tree (Matsu), cherry blossoms(Sakura) and my favor cranes (Tsuru).

Namiki Limited Edition Hina Dolls

Namiki will be launching a pair of Yukari Royal fountain pens for their 2014 limited edition.

Makie master Mamoru Wakabayashi painted the the hina dolls, Obirna (Prince Doll) and Mebirna (Princess Doll).

I managed to take a few pictures at the mini Namiki Exhitbition here in Singapore to promote maki-e art.

The Obirna (Prince Doll) is painted on a black Yukari Royal pen.

Danitrio Genkai Sunbirds

Sunbirds is the latest theme added to Danitrio Genkai range of maki-e pens.

It is one of the many makie artwork from artisan Tatsuya Todo-san.

Mont Blanc Herny E. Steinway 888 Limited Edition

Mont Blanc launched a very beautiful Patron of Art Edition Henry E. Steinway limited edition this year (2014).

The Henry E. Steinway Limited Edition transparent cap is wrapped by a piano frame.

MONTEGRAPPA LIMITED EDITION HORSE 2014

Montegrappa Horse 2014 limited edition  is made with black resin and die-cast of a horse on it pen barrel. It is the same color as the its previous zodiac horse limited edition.

The Montegrappa Horse 2014 limited edition is made in pure black color resin.

While the horse is design different from the previous edition, the different is not big.

Signum Murano Glass Barrel Fountain Pen

Signum and Murano glass master successfully created their first collection of glass barrel fountain pen after 3 years of hard work.

The glass barrel is entirely made by hand in Italy. The create the glass pattern and color, the master glass craftsman using different types of glass and a the traditional glass blowing technique.

DaniTrio Bamboo Story

I found another taki-nuri maki-e fountain pen to add to my Bamboo collection. The DaniTrio Bamboo maki-e fountain pen is much more interesting as compare to those Sailor Japan Co.

It comes in four colors. The Danitrio take nuri show is Hotei-dake  (H-007GW) and Mon-dake (H-008G).

Sailor KOP Spring Under The Star Limited Edition

The Sailor KOP Spring Under the Star Limited Edition is the second pen of the Seasons Under the Star maki-e pens series launched earlier in 2013. Sailor launched this series starting with winter; Sailor KOP Winter under the Star. My guess it was winter 2012 when the artisan was working on this project.
