Sailor Limited Edition 100th Anniversary Arita Yaki Somertsuke Kiri Hou-ou

Beside the Sailor Shima Kuwa Mulberry Limited Edition, Sailor also released an Arita Yaki Samertsuke Kiri Houou in paralle with the Shima Kuwa Mulberry to mark their 100th years of pens making.

This beautiful Arita-Yaki luxury writing set is the fine product produed by the craftmans co-operated by Koransha (company with 400 years of history) and Sailor Pen Co.

Pen Stand for the Emporer

Last month (June 2011), while waiting for our children to finish their class, I visited Aesthetic Bay.

Since I am not able to find a nice pen tray for the my desk, I thought it will be cool if I can have a few pen stands display on my desk at disfferent height for my desk fountain pen.

Sailor Ink - New Color 2011

After 6 months of waiting, the new colors Sailor ink finally landed in Singapore retailor over the weekend.

There are 6 colors. The Peach, Sky High, Ultra Marine, Grenade, Epinard, and Apricot.

Sailor Mont Fuji and Crane

Sailor Japan Co. released a few new maki-e on 1911 Classic fountain pens. The Mont Fuji and Crane is one of the them.

The artisan Kosen Oshita uses hira maki-e technique to illustrate Mt. Fuji and crane. Unlike most Mt. Fuji drawn by other artisan, Oshita-san has choosen to paint a red Mt. Fuji.

Last month, we have a special guest in our monthly fountain pen meeting. He is Mike from the Fountain Pen Emporium.

The Swan fountain pen shown here is one of the few pens that we purchased from him.

Rumours, Rumours Pilot Capless/Vanishing Point 2011 Limited Edition

No more guesses. Pilot has launched Capless Limited Edition 2011. The theme color, Pretty in Pink. The Pilot Vanishing Point Limited Edition 2011 is set to capture hearts of the fairer sex.

As Singapore is a very small market, rumour is Pilot Singapore only managed to secure less than two pecents of the limited edition worldwide. And, more than half of the allocation of this two percent has been booked.

It will be available in September 2011, and make your reservation early to avoid disappointment.

Fisher AG7 Space Pen Special Edition

Fisher launched it Fisher AG7 special edition to celebrate 40th Year Moon Landing. The move of the pen was engraved with Apollo 11 astronauts holding a America flag on the moon.

On the top of the pen, it is engraved with the word "40th Anniversay Special Edition" beside the pen release.

Namiki Golden Pheasant Fountain Pen

The Namiki Nippon Art artisan painted a pair of pheasant on the pen; one of the cap and one one pen barrel.

Both pheasant are flying toward each other, symbolizing attraction.
