Montegrappa Cosmopolitan China's Ancient God Fu Lu Shou 福禄寿

Montegrappa revived the Cosmopolitan series last year with five themes; The Arabian Animals of Desert, China's Ancient God, Bohemian Paris, Mt Rushmore and Victician England.

According to Montegrappa, the themes is launched based on five cultures, but we see it very differently. The five themes are launched to capture five different markets to ensure that the pen sells.

Rumours, Rumours Lamy Nexx Yellow

Lamy launched a yellow color this year as a special edition or limited production run. While the color and pen itself look ordinary, it is still a pen that we are unlikely to be able buy it locally in Singapore.

Rummour has it that Lamy Singapore has no plan to bring in this pen for the Singapore market.

If you like this pen or the in color, you might want to consider picking it up when out station.

Parker Maki-e Limited Edition Crane and Pine

It seems that the new theme for maki-e artist is Crane. Parker launched the Crane and Pine Tree for their Maki-e Limited Edition this year.

It is painted by the same artisan, Master artisan Shigeru Sawada , as last year Golden Dragon Maki-e Limited Edition.

Inkless pen? No way. How can it be possible? With Beta inkless pen, it is possible.

The Inkless Beta Pen is designed by Axel Weinbrecht Design.  The pen design is amazing and innovative.  Many thanks to Fook Hing Trading, it is now available locally.

The pen tip is made from a mixture of a special metal alloy and lead. As we write, a tiny amounts of this mixture deposit create the silvery markings may resemble pencil on the writing paper material,. Unlike the normal pencil lead, the inkless pen "ink" doesn not smudge, and it is permanent.

Nobuyoshi Nagahara Commemorative Limited Edition 長原勇退記念万年筆

As many is aware, the Nib Master Nobuyoshi Nagahara-san retired in December 2011. He has dedicated sixty four years of his life working to perfect a fountian pen since he joined Sailor Co, Japan in 1947.

As many of us know, Mr Nobuyoshi Nagahara has been a very active during his stay in Sailor as a nib master. He promote original ideas, and dare to try it out. His created more than 10 different type of nibs, and one of the most popular nib is the Togi nib, which is fixed in this commemorative limited edition.

Sailor launched a commemorative limited edition to honor this great nib master who dedicated his whole life to our favor tool, fountain pen nib, and a lost of a great employee.

Lamy 2000 Editon 2012

Coming June, Lamy fans will be a able to get their hand a Lamy 2000 Edition look alike.

Like the Edition 2000, it is made in stainless steel with brushed matte finishing, and fixed with Lamy standard gold nib. It is available in their standard nib size of EF, F, M, B, OM, and OB.

We will just have to wait for the actual product to see what is the major different between the two.

If you are planning to buy a Lamy 2000, you might want to hold on for now till you see the new Lamy 2000 edition.
